2020 Chardonnay by Helio

Bright golden colour, bright fruit, and bright acidity. Toast and buttered popcorn on the nose, with a touch of vanilla. Star fruit up front, followed by toast and beurre noisette. The finish has a feel of peach skin, and a subtle minerality.

Food Match: Since this was our first time having the Helio Chardonnay, we had it without food. Next time we will pair it with asparagus and blue cheese risotto.

At 32$ a bottle, this is really quite a bargain. Every small detail of this wine has been carefully selected, including the exquisite branding.

If you can still get your hands on this wine, do it. It will really develop in the next 3-5 years, and I look forward to seeing some of the tertiary characteristics develop.
