I've recently started working as a Vineyard Supervisor in Marlborough, as the winter viticulture season gets underway. It is an exciting opportunity, filled with learning new skills, and transitioning my existing ones.
I start work each day before sunrise, and when the sun finally does make an appearance, it is a spectacular sight. I've also learned that the vineyards are frequented by all manner of creatures - rabbits, birds, and spiders all make a daily appearance, and it isn't uncommon to find he head of a vine enveloped in an abandoned bird nest.
