2020 Black Duck Durif by TRiMBOLi’S

Black tea and molasses on the nose, and rich opaque garnet in the glass. Sour cherry, and cranberry; Peach iced tea mid palate, with a long tannic finish that carries on with a white peach flavour.

Food Match: we had this wine without food, and it would have been better with a starch, and slightly sweet sauce. Think potatoes and gravy, or BBQ burgers in a wholemeal bun.

This wine cost us 20$ and is an absolute bargain.

Durif is a synonym for Petite Sirah, and as soon as this wine hits the glass, you know exactly what it is. Concentrated in colour, nose, and palate.
